vitamins-a necessary supplement for your dog

Giving out vitamins, when I remember to do it, is easy and fun…they taste yummy (I am only assuming), all five beasties sit pretty, those with tails wagging them furiously, those with nubs, not so much. Down the hatches they go quickly and without incident… usually.

I’m gonna guess our new bucket o’ delish doggie vits is a modified formulation from previous batches.

Everybody sat tall, gently took that little nutrition-filled beefy square from my fingers, gulp it’s gone, one look to my hands to be sure that was all they were going to get and off to the sofa for morning nap completion.
…Except Lucas.

PHWLAT. The beefy vita-chew hit the floor.

Without hesitation, he lowered his shoulder and fell into a full twisting, back scratching roll over the chewy thing. [This behavior is generally reserved for five day dead squirrels and flattened reeking toads in the road.]

After 20 seconds of writhing on his back my happy boy trotted off, leaving the fetid thing to continue to ripen on the living room floor. All this proof that vitamins work quickly to make my dogs feel and smell their best.

The Naming of the Blah-Blog

There once was a gas man who lived in Calgary (this is not a limerick).

His name was Robert Loblaw, but they called him “Bob.” So Bob Loblaw (say it out loud & fast – do it now! BOB LOBLAW ) sparked an idea for the name of my blog. (actually, Bob didn’t spark anything – I wouldn’t know the man if I saw him on the post office cork board. It’s his name that kindled the flame.)

Heard of Gary Larson? Remember the cartoon square that goes something like “What the dog actually hears when a human speaks to him – ‘blah, blah, blah, TREAT, blah, blah.’ ”

Well, combine the kindling with the cartoon & welcome to The Dog Blah-Blah-Blog … my brain & my life:

four equi-different mutts

one smiling Samoyed

an amazing spouse who is a rock-hound

& a busy little doggie daycare

(oh, and my paying job in the medical field where I work at the side of my husband 4 days each week, an exciting new dog business [ad]venture, and the fact that my “friend list” gets shorter by the minute…I’ve got to chat about my junk with someone.)

You lucky dog.
